Irritating at times One Thousand White Women presents an interesting premise for a plot But the whole way through the story written from the point of view of a woman by a MALE author I was irritated by the frequently breathless writing style really do women think like that I don t that the author adopts Sometimes fun mostly kind of predictable you can tell this is a novice novel I was able to pretty much thumb through it in one day at the beach I have to agree with another reviewer on here is this really where women s fiction has come to May Dodd struck me as a misunderstood Annie Oakley Not a whole lot of subtlety to the character

I listened to this book on my MP3 player and simply loved it The narration was as exceptional as the book itself I have suggested it already to many of my friends

A wonderful story about a group of women thrown into a completely different culture and forced to become part of the Indian community Very well written and compelling after a few chapters you won t want to put it down Paints an intriguing picture of how life was like for the American Indians and how two completely different cultures can come together and the people can learn to accept each other and even protect those who were recently strangers
