Making Rounds with Oscar was a wonderful book To me it was much more than about the amazing gift that Oscar had It told me what to expect when a patient/loved one has dementia or Alzheimer s Disease What to expect as a caregiver and what options are available to a caregiver And all of this information was given in a delightful way I didn t feel like I was being preached at I enjoyed learning from this book I am an R N but I am also a daughter and now because of this book I will know what to do if I have a loved one who is stricken with either Alzheimer s Disease or dementia I know I will be much more understanding of a patient with these diseases and will take a lesson from Oscar and treat them with respect and loving care

This was a wonderful book I thought it was going to be just a cute little story about a cat but it turned out to be so much more It should be mandatory reading for family members and those caring for a person with dementia It was the most insightful book on the subject without all the medical terminology that scares a lot of people I loved it and have recommended to several people
