Courage and Consequence My Life as a Conservative in the Fight
>> Setting Bush s record straight
A well written clarification of the President s accomplishments and yes some significant mistakes A book like this from an insider who was so close to the facts is much needed to counter the reporting by a media that on the whole tended to be politically biased against President Bush
One of the big mistakes that Karl Rove writes about is his and the administration s failure to properly respond politically to hypocritical attacks on the Bush Iraq War policy As a result these unanswered attacks weakened the Bush presidency and the country s ability to win the war and you have to assume that consequently more of our soldiers died Another big mistake which the author takes responsibility for is the sequencing of Social Security before Immigration reform If it had been done in reverse both reforms might have succeeded But as to the most severe economic disaster since The Great Depression Mr Rove has all the facts at his fingertips necessary to do a masterful job of pointing his finger at Barney Frank Chris Dodd and company These two culprits not specifically named were also picked indirectly by implication out of the line up by former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan in recent congressional hearings
>> Love It and Hate It
If you are conservative liked George W Bush and Karl Rove you will love this book If you are a liberal hate the two of them you will no doubt hate this book
I m conservative like both men and think this book ranks up there with the best
>> ROVE LIVES UP TO THE TITLE of HIS BOOK
A GREAT READ BY A GREAT PATRIOT HE TAKES ON THE LIBERAL MEDIA IN A MANNER THEY WOULD CLAIM IS UNFAIR HE USES FACTS AND EVIDENCE
