David Sedaris is an absolutely hysterical writer and this book does not disappoint His stories are always quirky but yet truthful and make me laugh out loud The only thing better than reading a story he has written is listening to the audio version of it b c there is just something about his slightly annoying voice that makes the stories sing

Oh my goodness While this isn t the first of David Sedaris books that I ve read it is the first that I purchased in the audio format I had a road trip to make and thought it would be fun to listen to a book along the way and since I hadn t yet read this soon to be classic I picked it up
I had no idea that Mr Sedaris was such an amazing speaker He is so animated so enthusiastic I was literally pulled into his voice If he does a reading anywhere near Thief River Falls Minnesota I will be first in line
Oh yeah and the stories had me laughing out loud so many times Wouldn t it be fun to meet up with this family over the holidays
