The Long Walk
>> Fast Shipping Brand New Book Awesome Read
Book arrived faster than expected and was in brand new condition I would highly recommended this book amazing and interesting story First book to really catch my attention in months
>> Good Read as an Allegory
Without restating all the factual inconsistencies I enjoyed the book for a different reason than most The story s progression of inhumanity began at Lubyanka and continued to Camp 303 Still there were glimpses of softening and by a few months in Siberia even the guards had become prisoners of both the winter and Stalin s inhumanity This gave rise to escape and the ability of the prisoners to find humanity in fellow prisoners in the young girl Kristina in the assistance provided by farmers villagers fishermen and shepherds By the time the escapees reached India humanity was restored
I was severely disappointed in finding out the story was manufactured but nevertheless it was a page turner Although it should be read as fiction and not reality the story was a tremendous Odyssey and no less entertaining and thought provoking than other odysseys I enjoyed it notwithstanding the fiction of it
While the author claimed it was a story about freedom I found it was a story about man s inhumanity and the restoration of humanity toward man The Perfect President Red Reflections Frameworks Conflict in Balance
>> The Long Walk
Well written Very engaging grabs you at the beginning and keeps the pace strong It would be fascinating ficton but the reality is ads extra appeal These are not gloosy ideals but gritty real people
