I was loving this book Liz has brought women of the past to present and has shown many of the women from the bible in us She has written stories creating women from the present reflecting images of the women from the bible She has done outstanding job doing it The studies that followed each short story was very well developed and taught After reading this book I have longed to read the bible on my own and grow more in my faith I would recommend this book to everyone who longs to be closer to GOD and wants to fill their own emptiness with most wonderful things

This was purchased for a women s club book review and most generally liked the writing style with one exception She did not like the author paraphrasing the words of Jesus I personally had no problem with that Each chapter began with a modern story which paralled the Biblical events and there were questions at the end of each chapter which lent it suitable for a group study
